  • Amylase assists in the digestion of starches.

I’m curious as to what natural forms these enzymes take. Are they in common foods that we eat?

So, what are you, some kind of enzymologist? 🙂

Seriously, interesting info that I feel I should already know, but don’t.

Also, how come the body needs enzymes to break down stuff such as table sugar, which is a relatively recent introduction to the human body? Did we always need invertase, but for other purposes, or has it been created recently as a reaction to the modern diet?

How can we know in what food they are?

Is there anyone that helps more then the others??

  5. Great list of breaking it down. I’m wondering how we take in these enzymes and how often is it warranted to take a supplement? Under what conditions? It’s challenging for the lamen to make sense of it all.

This is a helpful breakdown of the different enzymes. Which of these are contained in your products? Is there one enzyme supplement that is needed or do you need several pills/capsules to get what you need?

  9. Hi Gary,

Is there anything in terms of our eating more and better produce which aids in having an abundance of enzymes in our diet? or are supplements essential?
